About Us
Skye Survey comprises a small and diverse team of geospatial professionals, based in the Isle of Skye and operating throughout Scotland and beyond. We have been providing a professional and friendly service to all of our clients since 2015, on projects throughout the Highlands & Islands, and all the way down to the south cost of Southern England.
Over the years we have developed a reputation for providing competitively-priced and high-accuracy aerial, topographical and measured building surveys, to the full range of public and private sectors: energy, highway, railway, marine, residential, general construction and importantly to us: our private individual clients.
We continually embrace the latest technology, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the collection of survey data and for asset inspections, on projects where the use of conventional survey methods would be too unsafe or too costly. This has enabled us to remain at the forefront of our profession, reducing the time on-site, and therefore cutting costs to our clients.
We aim to be as transparent as possible from the outset in our commercial approach. To this end, we always provide quotations that are ‘fixed-cost’, not ‘estimates’, so that our clients can enjoy piece of mind that no further charges will be applied. Alongside the high-accuracy of our products and services, this is our personal and commercial guarantee.

River Lochy
An example of one of our projects for a private individual client, we recently utilised our drone fleet to deliver topographical survey and section drawings from a thickly-wooded site. Our drawings will be used for flood risk identification and development purposes.
Glen Ullinish II
We have been surveying a vast site (2700 Hectares) on the rugged northwest coast of Skye, using a combination of aerial (LiDAR) and ground-based methods: a proposed wind farm development. Our data will be used for cultural heritage identification by external teams, in addition to in-house mapping and modelling purposes by the client.

We are assisting a local contractor in Portree, setting out the foundations, gridlines and site external works on a construction of a new community building.
